Recovery position: Gently roll them on their side. Tilt chin slightly up. This keeps airway open.

Check if they're breathing. Watch the chest. If not breathing, start CPR.

Stay with them and talk calmly. Send someone to guide medical staff to your exact room.

Cardiac Arrest / No Pulse

CRITICAL

Call SOS NOW and shout for someone to fetch the nearest AED (Block A Lobby).

Chest compressions: 30 hard, fast pushes to center of chest. Use both hands, arms straight.
3
Rescue breaths: Tilt head back, lift chin, seal over mouth, give 2 breaths.
4
Repeat 30 compressions -> 2 breaths until AED arrives or they regain consciousness.

Seizure / Convulsions
Shaking, jerking, loss of control
CRITICAL

Time it. If seizure lasts over 5 minutes, it's a medical emergency — call ambulance.

Protect their head. Put a folded jacket or bag under their head. Move hard objects away.

When shaking stops, gently roll to recovery position and keep airway clear.

Stay with them. They may be confused after — talk calmly, reassure them.

Swelling, hives, breathing difficulty

Ask if they carry an EpiPen. Help them use it if needed.

If breathing is hard, have them sit upright. If dizzy, have them lie down with legs raised.

Do not give antihistamines in place of epinephrine — they work too slowly for severe reactions.

Heavy Bleeding / Deep Cut
Wound not stopping, significant blood loss

Apply direct pressure with a clean cloth or clothing. Press hard and don't release.

If cloth soaks through, add more on top — don't remove the original.

Elevate the injured part above heart level if possible.
4
Get to the medical room or wait for staff if bleeding is severe.

Fracture / Bone Injury
Suspected broken bone, deformity

Do not move the limb. Keep the student still and calm.

Improvise a splint with a rolled bag, ruler, or cloth to immobilize.

Wrap ice in cloth and apply to reduce swelling. Never apply ice directly.

Move them to a cool, shaded, ventilated area immediately.

Give cool water to sip slowly if they are conscious and can swallow.

Apply cool wet cloth to forehead, neck, and wrists.

If they don't improve in 15 min or faint, press SOS.
